Getting Things Done?

I do use a lot of components of the Getting Things Done method (I
listened to the book from Audible.com). I implement a ticker file of
sorts with OO, by creating a date column and keeping sorted by date. I
like the infinite possibilities of creating a hierarchy.
There's no magic to this. I have a "Followup" main topic and a "Someday
maybe" main topic. I then list different areas of my life, and create
subcategories under those as needed.
I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's experience.
