Since it seems that there is no way to do it within OO2, perhaps as a temporary solution while working on your outline, you could use the "Universal Access" provided by the system, turning on zoom (cmd-opt 8) and then zooming in (cmd-opt =) and zooming out (cmd-opt -) as necessary.
