I tried one of the resource fork v data fork solutions (take a working 
script and paste the code into it).  The script worked before the 
paste, but not after.  I did manage to get one of "my" error messages 
(no "current" column), but that was "bogus" and thereafter, I received 
the "NSCannotCreateScritpCommandError" error.

I'll look at your script this evening.
