parent styles?

Ted the kind of conditional style that you're talking about isn't 
available yet. You might could solve that problem with some applescript 
that you periodically run on your outline.

We've discussed creating a facility for doing conditional styling but 
at some point you have to have some kind of language to describe what 
you want to do. So far it hasn't become obvious to us how to solve this 
problem.

I'll add your email to our feature request database for conditional 
styling.
