View just checked items

As you say, that's not possible, but what people do is have an 
AppleScript create a new document with the master list's daily tasks. 
Of course, then tasks aren't marked off in the master list. That could 
be overcome with a synchronizing script, but since there's no way to 
permanently and uniquely identify a row--like a row ID--I've never felt 
that such a script would be reliable enough to bother with.
