I should probably mention that one of the cool bits about Microsoft
Entourage is the Mailing List Manager, which lets you do exactly what you
describe, on your client, on a list-by-list basis. It's pretty cool.

So if you're one of those people who routinely does "Freudian sends" of info
to a whole list, or who wants to send to a whole list when the list doesn't
do it, you can use Entourage to override the list settings locally.
