Reviving the OO and Teaching Thread

Over a year ago, an instructor recounted how he used OO in the 
classroom. I am curious to learn if anyone else is and in what ways. It 
seems to me that compared to other outliners, OO is more versatile. For 
example:

Lecture notes can be distributed by html and even downloaded to 
student's ipod
Lectures can be presented as outputted XML files via KeyNote
Reports can be printed using LaTeX
And mindmaps can be produced using OmniGrapple.

Anyone else doing any of the above or running into obstacles? The big 
drawback in OO is the lack of graphics. Students like pictures.
