Currency formats in OO3?

I don't recall the behavior in OO2, but in OO3 a column of Number type 
seems to offer optional formats based on the settings of the 
International preference pane.  I guess this means that you can use 
yen, but can't mix dollars and yen.

I suppose given the currency markets over the past year, it's good not 
to tie OO3 to the US dollar. ;-)
