Personally, I think Mac OS X's default check boxes are ugly as all get
out. They are too big and stick out of the surface too much,
graphically speaking. I don't think they were ever intended to be used
in an outliner. They look "decent" as a widget in a dialog box or
something of that nature, but in a text surface they are too large.
>From what I saw of the screen shots, I think oOutliner's new ones will
look swank. It is easy to see which things are checked and which are
not, without popping out of the text appearance and drawing too much
attention to the eye.
