A scientific user feedback

Hi,
First let me tell the omni guys that I really like OO3. I have been
using it to prepare my classes and research projects for two days and I
love it so far. A huge improvement and a lot of new possibilities as I
see it.
Now let me ask more: my dream would be to include equations in the
document. This is already possible. I type equations in Latex source
and use Equation Service
http://www.esm.psu.edu/mac-tex/EquationService/
to typeset them. The latex source code is replaced by an image. This is
a very nice feature for me. But I have two comments.
- first, there might be a bug. When I typeset an equation in the
equation service window (useful if there are errors in the latex
source) and I drag the equation to the OO window, apparently I get a
movie in OO and not an image (as in TextEdit for example)
- second is a feature request. That would be even better if it was
possible to keep the latex source in the OO document, so that it can be
modified later. Would it be possible to have a mechanism similar to a
link: in a link one part is the title and another the URL. Could we
have here the equation as a pdf image and the source code attached (but
hidden) and be able to modify the source. The source code could then
also be used when exporting to latex.
With such new features, OmniOutliner could really attract a lot of
interest from the scientific community. Especially if the export to
latex feature of OO3 pro (that I haven't tried yet) works well.
I post this on the list because I'd like to know if and how other
people use OO in a scientific context.
