$70 !!!
Sorry to sound so sticker-shocked. I guess BBEdit's started a trend.
I wish I could use my Mac at work, so I could justify making purchases
in this price range (or maybe even get my employer to make them). I
honestly don't think that's an unreasonable price for a tool that
people are using to make their living. It's just out of reach of the
casual user like me.
Fortunately, much like the very first release of Omni Outliner, the
standard version's upgrade price is manageable for me and offers all
the features I would want (except the named styles, which doesn't
strike me as a "pro" feature but I bet it was hard to come up with a
list of "pro"-only stuff). I'm definitely going to purchase OO3 when
it's officially released, as one of my all-time favorite MacOSX apps.
