3.0 save question

   The short answer is that OO3 is doing more work (mostly in generating 
a nice public XML format), but there certainly are some spots in our 
code that we've identified that can be sped up.

   We plan on addressing a few remaining performance shortcomings in 
3.1, so if you have an example file which makes OO sluggish, you'll 
want to check back when 3.1 beta starts up and/or send us an example 
file that we can test.
