FAQ? Trivial? How do I save files?

Hello,
	I hope this isn't an rtfm question (actually, that's pretty easy since  
there isn't a fm. :-)  How do I save files that I have downloaded?  I looked  
everywhere I could think of and I just don't see it.  I'm not a novice, so it  
makes this more frustrating.
