The OmniImage package that was recently posted to ftp.omnigroup.com and ftp.cs.orst.edu is bogus.

Basically, everything that is supposed to be IN the app wrapper will be installed into whatever directory you point Installer to.

IE;  if you point installer at /LocalApps/, OmniImageInspector.bundle will be installed correctly, but the contents of what should be OmniImage.app will be installed in /LocalApps/.

BTW:  While on the subject, is there any particular reason why OmniImageFilter's jpeg decompression seems about a zillion times slower than the independent jpeg group's command line decoding software?

[i posted this message to this list because a) most of the people on the list need omniimage/omniimagefilter and b) omniimage doesn't have a "Suggestion..." menu item or any mention of an address to which one can send stupidity reports]
