Hello,
I have been running into lots of problem with OmniWeb but I am new to it so
I was wondering if someone can help me. They are of different nature and
seem to change after each reboot of the machine which seems voodoo to me.
First my set up:
-a next color station (3.0) connected thru a modem to the university.
-I run omniweb with a proxy at the university (first small problem I never
succeeded having the dialog preference pannel change its default to what I
wanted and had to do it manualy with dwrite OmniWeb http_proxy etc etc)
-The version I use is the one downloaded from www.omnigroup.com a week ago.
-I often get a warning 40.. message saying the document was not found or
unauthorized) but I still get the document.
-Last and most serious : after a successfull session yesterday night I
logged this morning and OmniWeb gives me a brand new alert panel: "This is
an old version please get a new one" and when I click OK the all thing
vanishes into thin workspace air. Conclusion nothing works anymore! and I
cannot even give you the version number since I cannot read it. Of course I
did the obvious : download today from same source a brand new copy with the
same result! As a favorite software of mine would say "I am stymied"
Thanks for helping , I was so happy to have the web at home finally and now
I am dumbfounded and unhappy.
