A funny thing happened to me today:
A college asked me to help him fill an electronic application form via WWW
because he'd never done it before. Well, neither did I, but I was willing to
try. We go to his Mac, fire up NSCA Mosaic (version 1.0.3, I think), open the
URL they gave us, go a couple of levels deeper to get to the form and THE DAMN
THING DOES NOT WORK! The text is there, but no fields to fill, no buttons, no
NOTHING :-(.
So we go to my office and try OmniWeb on my NeXT cube. It's still a
pre-release version (0.93), but what the heck, maybe it will work. And sure as
@#$%, it worked like a charm. And it was much faster too, even though it was
connected to the same Ethernet loop. And the multiple windows on the latest
OmniWeb were very helpful too since the application form asked for his
publication record which we simply took from the SLAC-SPIRES web site.

To summarize, kudos to all the good folk at OmniGroup and keep up the good
work!
