Text areas

OmniWeb 0.9.3 (NeXTstation with 3.0) seems to do funny things with text  
embedded in a <textarea>: I don't mean text entered by the user, I mean text  
entered in the HTML file by the writer, to initialize the textarea.

For example
    <form>
    <textarea>
    Hi there.
    

    How's things?
    </textarea>
    </form>
is displayed as
    Hi there.\par 

    \par 

    {\fs12\par}
    How's things?
