i remember wil once saying that if we knew
where to locate official drafts of www/html
standards that we should tell him.
well, all this talk about netscape's extensions
to html got me thinking (and surfing), so
here's what i found:
the draft for the html3 standard (very important):
http://www.w3.org/hypertext/WWW/MarkUp/html3-dtd.txt
and an older description of the same (when it was called html+):
http://www.w3.org/hypertext/WWW/MarkUp/HTMLPlus/htmlplus_2.html
and something very cool (although not yet NeXtified):
http://www.w3.org/hypertext/WWW/Arena/
Arena is a html3.0 compliant browser from cern. cool.
also, there are a bunch of mailing lists out there
concerning this stuff. search the www.w3.org server
for more info, but here are a few:
send mail to listserv at info.cern.ch
in order to :
subscribe www-html your name
or
subscribe www-announce your name
send mail to majordomo at lists.stanford.edu
in order to:
subscribe www-managers
that's all for now. you can weed out the more
specific stuff that you're interested in from
the list available on the w3 server.
