I find it very nice, actually, so that if the loading of in-line images takes
too long, I can still figure out what the image is supposed to be, and just
click on it.

what I find annoying is the rotating/flashing stopsign, because it really
causes my machine to grind to a halt until that item is done loading.  At a very
minimum, you guys should stop the animations if OW is CMD-h hidden...
Better yet, make it yet another Preferences option 8>   


(perhaps you should make a "expert" preferences page, to keep the
preferences uncluttered?)
