OmniWeb is on their disrecommended list from the days of 0.7.5.x  
which did not handle authentification properly. The reference page  
given (.../browsers.html) has OmniWeb 0.7.5.5 as the most recent  
version, and one of the few with no known bugs. I successfully  
registered with OmniWeb a while ago with an older beta, but I agree  
that it seems to not work now, so either Wired broke their  
registration page or Omni broke. I tried out the forms tester that  
they recommended

version on OW running on this machine (1.0PR1) and it seemed to work  
fine.

It's not obvious to me what side the bug is on.
