Strange behavior in version1.0

I am running OmniWeb v 1.0 on black hardware using a proxy
connection to a CERN httpd server. Earlier today I tried to follow a
link to http://nox.cs.du.edu:8001/~anon0f5f/weathernet.html. The
result was that my machine seized up completely! Actually that's
not exactly true; the machine seized up after apparently downloading
the second inline image at that link. My rotating stop sign
stopped. Much disk noise was evident, and I had to perform a dirty
restart. This happened twice in a row (I don't learn from mistakes
very well :-).)
On the third try I turned off inline images, and looked at the html
source. The offending image was line.gif, which I would have
thought would be pretty innocuous.
Is there anyone out there brave enough to try this themselves and
tell me if it's a universal problem, or just my problem?
