graphic pre-fetching?

had a chance to see Prodigy's Web browser this weekend,
and even THEY reserve space for the image as it downloads text.

i remember reading in this list, that they thought it would require multithreaded
requests to accomplish this.  I don't see why.

at least support the pages telling you what size the graphic will be,  like ours:

<IMG    WIDTH=160 HEIGHT=100 SRC="...

isn't this read along with the rest of the text?
