The next version of Alexandra-a not so shabby freeware newsreader-will support Drag&Drop of URLs according to the WebStep standard. It will also treat URLs embedded in articles similar to URLifier.bundle.

As a very simple interface between a web browser and Alexandra I could image an `Alexandra/Open URL' service that works on ASCII and WebStep Pasteboard Types. We'd be interested in discussing more elaborate methods which would allow for a closer coupling of the two applications.

What a coincidence! You're not adding news support because you're talking $$$ and we're writing a newsreader because we can afford not to have to earn money with it.
