Copying from OO without leading spaces/tab

Is there a way to copy several rows from OO without getting spaces at 
the beginning of each line when it is pasted into another app? It seems 
that it is a tab when pasted into Word but when I paste into my CAD app 
it turns into 2 or 3 spaces.
I have tried taking out all the bullets and checkboxes out of the RTF 
export preferences but can't get the width setting to be less than 
minimum of 0.014 inches.
I want to be using the clipboard to copy rather than export command.
