outline->html w/numbering

Hi
I must be missing something: I want to take a regular IA1ai Ooutline
and export it to html and have the numbering render. The html export
command (as opposed to various scripts) inserts the various MORE-like
columns into table cells - which is perfect... but it ignores any
numbering that might be associated with each row. This is not useful
for publishing an outline that might require identification of any
particular item by number. It seems to me a trivial thing for such a
huge leverage in usability? That is, it would not have to export to
even an HTML ordered list...just port the number characters into their
own table cell, or share the left-most row cell? Is there any way to
enforce this? or, is the script for the export available for hacking? I
don't find any other exporting to HTML possibility that will carry
along the multiple column contents that might live within individual
rows. The Word export, just mashes everything together...and also
ignores numbering.

thanks!
Ray
