How can I insert a new item before the current item?

Argh.

After having posted this, i noticed that "shift-return" is the solution
;)

But is there a way to split a line in two items?

before:

   * applcation|services
                ^ cursor

after

   * application
   * services

Possible?

Greetings
Tim
