This project isn't my idea, but I have a good example that just
happened to me this morning.
I'm a full-time Mom, and use OOutline for things such as keeping track
of my kid's schedules, planning school volunteer projects, planning
birthday parties, to do lists, and lots of other information that fits
in outline format.
Last spring, when the school calendar for this year came out, I copied
all the half-days off and school holidays into iCal. Today is a half
day that isn't on my calendar -- it turns out the calendar was revised
this summer.
If anyone has tried to update 9 months of calendar events, you know it
takes a fair amount of time to page through the months and open all
those drawers! It would be much faster to import my "school calendar"
into OOutline, change dates and times there, then export the calendar
back to iCal.
Ted, for my example, the relevant fields are:
Event Title
All Day?
from & to dates & times
repeat (should be a pop up in OO)
alarm
