hot linked text appearance setting?

Since the NDA period is over ... I can tell you that OO3 shows links as 
icons (images? Little picture representations).

I have a list of people, and their e-mail addresses appear as icons. If 
I click on one, I get an empty mail message. Nice, even though the 
icons are large enough to mess up my formatting :-) they can be turned 
off.

I haven't tried applying a style to links, though.
