I just confirmed that Graffle does in fact prefer PDF to TIFF. It seems
reasonable that Outliner should work the same so I'll file a request
for it.

I'll file a bug on this. To some extent we're at the mercy of
Quicktime. We essentially have to create lists of exceptions whenever
we something different to happen. Did you know that QT registers to
read text files? Lovely.

Since you folks seem to be so keen on doing this I'll just let you know
that I've been working on LaTeX export plugins for Outliner. A couple
of people have seen them and I haven't had a chance to work on the bugs
but they basically work.
If you'd like to help me work out the bugs please email
omnioutliner3 at omnigroup.com. I may not be able to respond for several
days because the email backlog is pretty large right now. Also the
plugin requires Pro (because you can't use plugins in standard) and so
you'll have to at least wait until we release the Pro public beta.
