Actually, this rings a bell with me. We have some people on campus
who have trouble with PDF files in their web-browser, because QT is
called to display the PDF file. I don't understand why only *some*
people have the problem. For those two people, I just went into the
System Preferences for Quicktime, and changed the "MIME settings"
(on the Plug-in panel) so that Quicktime didn't open PDF files. That
option is listed under "Images - Still Images files".
I have no idea why this happens to a few people, and not to everyone
else. In my case, it has nothing to do with OO3. If people using OO3
are seeing the same kind of behavior, they might want to check what
that setting is in their System Preferences.
