Background color in rows (oo3 beta4)

To do this, select the row you'd like to modify. Select the color tab 
in the Appearance inspector.
Next, double-click the "Background" color well to bring up the cocoa 
color panel. (if it's not open already. If it is, just click once to 
select the well.)

Adjust colors in the color panel to one's hearts' content.

(alternatively, select a color in the color panel, then drag a chit out 
of the rectangle at the top of the color panel, then drop directly into 
the background color well...)
