My browser's better than your browser....

I like the latest OmniWeb, which despite some minor bugs works far
better than the previous revisions. In many ways, I like Netscape,
too, but the authors should have paid more attention to things like
making sure forms work as expected rather than things like munging
the HTML spec.
To see what I mean, do the following.
1. Create a form with some radio buttons with different names, as
in the following code:
<OL>
How do you usually learn a new programming tool? (Check all applicable.)
<DL>
<LI> <Input TYPE="radio" Name="experimentation">Experimentation <br>
<LI> <Input TYPE="radio" Name="permutedindex"> Permuted index <br>
<LI> <Input TYPE="radio" Name="reference"> Reference <br>
<LI> <Input TYPE="radio" Name="training"> Training <br>
<LI> <Input TYPE="radio" Name="tutorials"> Tutorials <br>
</DL>
</OL>
2. While running NEXTSTEP, open the form in OmniWeb. Click on all
radio buttons to select them, then click on them again to deselect
them. Pretty straightforward behavior.
3. Drop out of NEXTSTEP and into Windows NT (ugh). Open the form in
Netscape. Click on all radio buttons to select them, then click on
them again to deselect them. But guess what? You can't deselect them
without resetting the fields.
I rest my case.
