bookmarks; history list

I would be very grateful if someone could help me out with the
following. Apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious. I'm
running OmniWeb 0.9.3 under NS 3.0 and 3.2.
(1) How can I view my (old, pre-license restrictions) bookmarks file?
With 0.9.3, I can at least get a window that says "bookmarks", but none
of my bookmarks are in it. How can I actually view them, other than
simply opening my bookmarks file as a file? (I can do that, so there's
nothing wrong with the file. And my preferences do point to the correct
file.)
(2) How am I supposed to use the history list? What I like to do with a
browser's history list is to jump back to URLs that I visited earlier. I
can't figure out how to do that with the new history list. Clicking on an
item, then clicking on the navigation arrows doesn't do it. Double
clicking on an item in the list opens a window in which I'm apparently
expected to enter a new item.
If there is some documentation explaining this, I would really appreciate
a pointer. I did look in the mailing list archive, although I didn't
have time to do an exhaustive search.
I would prefer personal replies, although I have just joined the list.
Thanks in advance.
