gopher proxy problems

Now I ownly heard it from a colleague and didn't check it out myself,
but: I've been told that the prerelease CERN 3.0 httpd when run as proxy
has a bug which makes it introduce a zero byte at the start of a returned
file (I don't know if this is _always_ the case).

Maybe those of us experiencing problems with running OmniWeb over a Proxy
could look into this? It might well be that this is not OmniWebs fault,
but rather lies on the server site.
