Roaming around Pages (by pages...) www site

One minor suggestion: You might want to include the home page
for Pages (the company) on the initial OmniWeb page, now that
they've announced the release of their HTML-editor version of
Pages (the program).
When roaming around http://www.pages.com/ I ran into some odd
problems. Some pages that have lots of icons seem to have trouble
with some of the icons. In particular, the problems seem to come
up if I'm windowing forward while icons are being fetched, or
translated, or some such part of their processing. This is
particularly noticable on their page of "design model thumbnails".
To view their design models, head for URL:
http://www.pages.com/WebPages/HTML_DMs/HTML_DMs.htmld/index.html
The thumbnails are off of that page, by hitting the text marked
"Web page with thumbnails". That's a pretty good amount of stuff
to download though, so you might want to just try one of the design
model pages and see how that works while paging things up and down.
I did run into similar problems on several of those design-specific
pages, though the problems were very noticable on the thumbnails
page (probably because I had to do more paging on that).
When roaming thru with OmniWeb-1.0PR1.1 on a NeXT system running
NeXTSTEP release 3.2, and OmniImageFilter-3.1.1, some of the icons
come out all screwed up. The same web pages come out fine if I
connect using Netscape on a Macintosh, even if I'm paging back and
forth while Netscape is downloading information. At one point in
OmniWeb, I decided to quit because it seemed too sluggish, and
seemed to be chewing up all the CPU (as monitored by KPerfMon).
So, I quit it, but the CPU time remained pegged at 100%. The
/LocalLibrary/Services/OmniImageFilter.service/OmniImageFilter
process turned out to be the one chewing up all the CPU time,
even though OmniWeb had quit successfully.
I also noticed that I got a message of:
bogus character 0x00, ignoring
EOF / read error on image data
TIFF Error: Cannot read TIFF.
on my console (earlier in the same session). I have not run into
any web pages at Pages.www.com that netscape complained about, so
I think this was just the same confusion that caused several of
their icons to come out all garbled up when I was viewing via
OmniWeb.
I can't say for certain, but I did have the impression that all
garbled icons occurred when I paged forward (in a given web page)
while OmniWeb was still downloading icons.
