Please help us beta-test the final pre-release before we go golden. You
have 5 whole days.

It's at:

ftp://ftp.cs.orst.edu/pub/next/submissions/OmniWeb-1.0PR2.app.tar.gz

But it should move to:

ftp://ftp.cs.orst.edu/software/NeXT/binaries/wide-area-info/OmniWeb-1.0PR2.app.tar.gz

NAIVELY INSTALLING THIS VERSION WILL WIPE OUT ANY LICENSES YOU'VE ADDED
BEYOND THE BASIC ONE-USER LICENSE. You should probably move the file
"RegInfo.RegInfo" out of your old OmniWeb and into the new if you don't want
to have to get a new multi-user license. (If you don't have a multi-user
license, you can get one from Lighthouse's home-page, available in OmniWeb.
There's a new one that expires on the 15th of March.)

This will REALLY be our final pre-release before the real thing. We are
going golden on the 8th. You must get bug reports to us by then if you want
them fixed for 1.0. (Don't worry TOO much, though, there will be more
releases after 1.0.)

If you want to see what's new, you can read our almost incomprehensible bug
database dump:

http://www.omnigroup.com/Software/OmniWeb/1.0PR2.html (Not quite there yet)

Basically, we've fixed a bunch more bugs. TIS http proxies now work,
OmniWeb uses a subdirectory of /tmp/OmniWeb for downloads, bookmarks and
history windows remember if they were open and where they were, and many
other glitches were fixed. No major interface changes for this release. We
still don't have our final icons or help.

PS: We'll be releasing another version of OmniImageFilter shortly that does
a better job with transparent GIFs.
