OmniImage + ImageViewer Puzzle

Here is another interesting puzzle:  The services file in my  
OmniImageFilter.service directory contains an entry for the file types  
xpm and XPM, yet I cannot seem to be able to display them.  I already  
know that the latest version of OmniImage.app no longer registers  
itself as understanding this extension, but the services file still  
has all the stuff in it!

If support for this file type has fallen through the crack does  
anyone know how to convert this type into something usable?
