Viewing .gif file with Omniweb

Well, I got OmniWeb (v 1.0). It looks nice.
But, I can't view .gif files; it put a circle in a square with a line
diagonallly (NW to SE) in the circle. 
What do I need and need to do to be able to view .gif files. 
I also got WebImage :: is there someone I am supposed to link these
together?
