Accented characters and charts

Being somewhat new to OmniWeb, I appeal to the vast knowledge of the group.

FYI, I'm running system 3.2J.
1. Doing business in Japan, I need to access certain Japanese pages, so I
was instructed to create a proxy which was accomplished fairly easily and
Japanese pages are now accessable. However, the default? fonts needed to be
changed to Japanese fonts and now accented characters do not even appear
when viewing "normal" pages (I've tried reload pages with the "Assume upper
case chars are ISO-8859-1" box in preferences both ON and OFF, but I assume
the font is creating the difficulty). Is there an additional proxy to be
added that will allow both Japanese and standard viewing? Or am I stuck with
this problem because the environment to allow Japanese will always take
precedent???

2. I am unable to view most charts/tables. Is this simply because they were
created in a different program, or am I lacking some filter....

3. Anybody know of an available app to convert .wav files to either .snd for
NeXT or something Mac-compatible?
