How do I get OmniImage to be default image viewer?

Hi,
Please forgive the following 'low-brow' question - I have not yet
written programs with NeXTStep, and thus I don't know the answer to what
I assume to be is a simple question:

A long time ago, I installed 'ImageViewer, v0.9i, May 1993' in my
~/Apps directory. Whenever I started up OmniWeb, images would be
converted by Image viewer and appear correctly on my screen.
I am assuming that 'OmniImage v3.2, March 1995' is a better, faster,
more wide ranging app. I would like it to be registered as my image
conversion filter, so I did the following:
- installed OmniImage.App in ~/Apps
- installed OmniImageFilter.service, in /LocalLibrary/Services
- removed ImagerViewer from ~/Apps
- Logged out and back in again

Now, when I start up OmniWeb, No images appear, and the WorkSpace
console says: "Can't find ImageViewer".

So how do I get my system to forget that ImageViewer ever existed, and
that OmniImage is the solution to its problems?

Thanks,
John van Heteren
